| Holmes Middle School Symphonic Band @ 2004 District Ten Band Festival |

Well, we did it! The Holmes MS Symphonic Band scored a 1 at festival! I am so happy :D :D :D :D :D :D . For those of you who want to know the exact score, we got three 1s and one 2. This means that this year we may be able to become a Blue Ribbon School again. This means that all of our music department scored the highest score in a festival. Mr. Perez is very happy with us right now. Hopefully we can do just as well on the trip in May. That's all for now.

| Times like these... Part 1 |

This post is for the people that have always been single. Every now and then when I get really bored, I start thinking about my life (not a good thing to hear)(this may be a long post...). The thing that I can never get is why some of my friends are better at geting friends that are girls and girlfriends. Heck, how they even are able to get and keep a conversation going is strange to me. I always think that they must have a natural talent at this. I have found that if someone had the choice between talking to me and talking to my friends, they would choose my friends. I am rarley turned to when there is a normal "how's life?" conversation. I just don't understand. Today durring English for example, I was sitting near two girls durring the first half of class. I was not even noticed. Yet, when my friend Chase sat near them durring the second half of class, they went ahead and started talking to him. Now personaly, I would say that me and Chase are both on the same popularity level (low) yet he was prefered. Anouther look at this same event, whenever I'm sitting in my assigned seat in English, I never get a conversation going on non-class matters with my seatmate and yet my other friend, G, gets the talking going just by annoying her. I would never annoy someone just to be able to talk to them. I just don't understand how not respecting someone gets you attention. Maybe I'm just unpopular. If anyone can help me understand how and why this seems to occur, leave a comment.[LINE][b]Today in short:[/b]
- Mr. Perez thinks we may be able to still do good at the festival tomarrow. I will say how it went tomarrow.
- It is going to be a while yet until we ever end health and return to the gym.
- Havent receved my grade back for my spanish project. Hope to get that soon. Got an A in there anyway...
- Watched an ok movie in English about the Inegration of Central High School. Everything in the book [u]Warriors Don't Cry[/u] put into anouther perspective. Place were the main part of this blog is about.

| SOLs, Detention, Life... |

Hey all. Those of you who know me got interested the moment you read Detention above (well if you didn't, you are now). Well, yes I got lunch detention but I'll get to that soon. The final SOL was today and I am happy about that :) . No more SOLs till May!!! :D The promt was about replacing PE classes with Study Skill classes. Personaly, how would that ever happen? Anyways, I disagreed with that and gave as many suporting details as possible. I hope I did well on that and well on the English multi-choice yesterday. I will find out soon enough. Fourth period spanish is like it is all the time. Not exciting. We started learning about how the hacer, conocer, and oír verbs are different here and there. I am beganing to slip a little in that class. The last two quizes I got back ended up being C+. Got to start studying better :roll: . Now to the detention part. On Monday, the entire class in 6th period English was bad for the substitute. Because of this, the entire class got lunch detention for the lunch period today. It did kinda suck, but a nice and quiet lunch with out Adam trying to slap you every 5 minutes. Man he is annoying! Chase sometimes wants to beat him up but that isn't possible of course. A little side note here --- I found out about this time that my friends Kevin and Kyle lost their g/f about two days ago. Kevin is a suicidal guy. Durring tech ed one of my friends told me, he was trying to slit his wrists with a pair of scissors :shock: . My friend stopped him luckly. I think he has gotten over her now. For Kyle, I haven't seen him recently so Im not sure how he is doing. Back to main subject --- Ms. Gilliam also collected the WDC novels (book we had to read for class). I am glad we are now done with them :D . Health was borring as usual. Did some paper work kinda thing. Woopie! Well, that was my day. I need to get sleep tonight so I'll go ahead and end this now. Night all.

| Long time, No post |

All of you that are reading this that are normal readers or who can look at the calendar, are thinking, "about time you posted!" Well yes, I have been very busy latley and haven't posted. Im sorry to those of u that have been incovenanced. Now to my life. Today, like almost allways, was a good day minus having to take a big state SOL test. I think I did well and missed about 4 at most (I hope :D ). It was a very easy test and almost exactly like the practices. I felt very good through out the test. Once everyone was finished, we were all playing paper football! Like 5 games going at once. Then once 7th period began as the class, we watched a bad moive on how heat does work. The film was like 8 years old. Im not sure if we will be ready for festival on Saturday in band :( . I hope Thursday and Friday we pull it all together. Mr. Perez is not at all happy with how things have turned. About a month earlier, he was sure we would rock. Now... I don't know. Algebra was Algebra. Not much excitment there. My friend Kevin claims he "blacked out" while solving a problem in front of the whole class. I told him that his smart side took over :wink: . First period (civics) was a disaster. Everyone was hyper and did not pay attention. The teacher (Ms. Burell because Mr. Jackson is out for a while) wasn't too pleased. I don't think Ms. Gilliam is going to be pleased either with our behavur in English Monday. Oh well... gotta role with the punches. I'll skip on to Lacrosse because I need to get to bed. My Lacrosse practice went very well. I was able to catch like 3/4 of the balls thrown at me :D . A personal record for me. SOLs tomarrow and my parents are bugging me to get to bed. I'll try to post a little more often :oops: . Talk later.

| Food and Life |

Hey all. I know some of you are glad when I make a new post, others could care less. Well, today was the Forign Laguage week food contest. Very low turn out :( . Only two people had entered into each category. Good news is, my Enchiladas are the best :D . I wish I knew who the competetor was but oh well. Everyone in my Espaņol class will now get to taste my "award-winning" Enchiladas in our Fiesta. Im not sure if I should make one or two batches of them. If they're a hit, I will run out quick. If not, all of them will go to waste :( . I think I will make only 12 and risk running out. Right now, if there was no SOL tests Tuesday and Wenesday, I would be in Florida. My sis is involved in dance and has a compition in Orlando every year. The only reason I go is for going to Universal or Disney theme parks with the family. It is a lot of fun missing out on school too. Oh well... always next year. This just means its me and dad doing whatever this weekend 8) . 5 days till we are SOL ready! Oh Boy! Im so excited :roll: . | Lacrosse and Grades |

Well, yesterday wasn't the best of days in lacrosse. I felt like crap. I have almost no eye-hand coordination and I need to fix that. Any flying object at me either hit me or completly missed my stick :( . I got lots of special attention that I didn't like from the coach. He may think I have good potential for the team because I'm on Annandale's highest team (B team) and I can't catch. Oh well... I hopefully will get better. On today, I found out about my test score in Algebra. 116%!!!! :D Mucho happyness. I got the highest score in the class surpassing even the higher ranked people in my class. I feel really smart now. Background note: lowest score was 19% (ouch) :!: Well that is all for now I guess. Talk to people later.

| Personal Records and Such |

Well, hello all ye people who came to see whats new in the life of Peter. Glad you could come to read this. Today was a good day for a monday. Civics went well with the sub again. I think I almost fell asleep in there this morrning. Very exciting. In PE, I broke my personal record!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D . On the pacer for the first time in history, I got 93 ((this is some of you) :shock: ). Happyness 8) . That was the highlight of the day. Band wasnt all the exciting. We talked about how bad we did and how we should try to play better. Bla Bla Bla.... In Spainish, took a quiz, dont think I did good on it. Algebra, one word, H_ll (fill in the missing letter). I just finished HW in there (ya it took awhile). English is when I got to turn in my colage that Ive been working on. It looked really good compared to what some people did. I have no regrets about it. Science, oh how wounderful Ms. Taylor is gone. We might be able to still learn enough for the SOLs in time (Thank you lord!). Now I better finish doing my Civics homework and get some rest at nine. I should start going to bed an hour earlier. You know the saying, "Early to bed, Early to rise, makes a person healthy and wise"...

| Leap Year, Color Sceme, and Life |

Happy Leap Year everyone! Oh, and by the way, can someone help me with my color sceme?
[LINE]Well, as Suday, Febuary 29, 2004 comes to a close, I am writing in this blog. I got my English project done finally (I think) and I can relax. Im going to procrastinate and not due my Algebra stuff until tomarow because I feel like it. I just hope Mr. Ritter doesn't think about checking HW early. I forgot what I was going to say next. Let me think amoment... ... ... ... ... OH! I remeber! I think I was going to say something about click here [url=http://www.outwar.com/page.ph...]http://www.outwar.com/page.ph...[/url] and help me out in this online game thing I am trying because it is popular. It will not last long I hope. Going on... SOLs are aproching :shock: . I had to give up going to Florida to stay here and do them :( . Oh well, there's allways next year. | Yay and Nay |

Well, today was a good day and a not so good day all in one. It started out before school. When I came to school to put my instrument away, the band room was locked and no one was in the music department. I had to wait 10 minutes before Mr. Fussel showed up. Oh well. A new plan for class has started that I may never use in Health. Mr. Smith now gives us free time for the first 10 minutes of class and allows you to leave the classroom for a while if your having a bad morrning. He is a cool teacher at times 8) . TA was normal as normalness can be. Espaņol was the same too. In English, we had to do a stupid SOL prep writing test that we started. I hate halving to do all this prep but I guess that this is how English will be for a while :? . Then there was the honor role assembly. The yay part - I got all A's in the last quarter, so I got reconized for that. The nay part - we stunk in the playing of our songs in band there. Yakuba (plays the tuba :lol: ) went home sick and I never expected how much of a diffrence it made with out him. The music just sounded horrible (Em, if you still read this, tell the good people). Triton was completely bad and Blue Ridge impressions literly requiered a tuba. Parts just seemed to be missing everywhere and balance was completly out. The final bit of good news as you all can see is that my computer is working again. Faster on some tasks which is good. Andy seems to have just taken the full blown effect of the break up between Rachel and him. Hopefully it will pass. Rachel was Andy's first offical gf and I don't think he will ever forget the good times that he had with Rachel. Life moves on. The flood waters will recid. The sun will rise tomarrow. Going on... The Got to do some projects this weekend. ug! I think this is all I can say for now except for my buddys to make one of these and add posts (Em, Andy, Kevin) because it gets borring reading the same over and over and over and over and ...

| Pre-festival and Sadness |

Well, tonight's the night! The symphonic band is going to do the pre-festival @ Annandale High School at 7pm. I am excited and nervous at the same time :) :? :shock: :( :wink: :!: . We will be playing three songs and then Poe will play :x . Annandale's bands will play after them and it will all be over :D . I am not sure about if Im going to stay the whole time but you (or I) never know. Going on to a not so related topic... Andy and Rachel have ended the longest running relationship that I have seen of any of my friends :( . I don't see what went wrong or even why they decided to stop being with each other. I hope this is only temporary or they will get back together. I never ment to try to end this (if I had an effect). Andy has assured me that there will be no feedback on me or any of my friends. I also hope that this doesn't end any friendships with Rachel, Ems, or Caroline. I got to get going to the pre-festival concert now. Hopefully, my computer will be ready to use when I get home (still formating and partitioning it). Talk Later if I get a chance.

| Delay of Game |

Well, I didnt get my hard drive last night because I found out the it would take hours to format and move software to it. So I might get it tonight or Friday. My computer will really be out for about a week when I finally get it in. Ok, time to stop blowing your brain with technology. I had my first Lacrosse practice last night and I enjoyed it. I belive Im on Annandale's best lacrosse team. I did'nt do as good as I think I could have, but I'll get better with time and practice. Time I should get out to the bus stop so Im not left behind...

| Hard Drives and Such |

Today, my mom is going to put in my 80 gig hard drive into my computer :D . I might not be online tonight because I will half to reinstall all of my programs. Anyways... I didnt write in by blog last night so here is the events from yesterday: The broadway production in English was the best skit done in that class! I feel good :D . The people who did thier skit after us sucked. All they did was read from the book with no emotion and everyone kept changing parts. It was a disaster and they also screwed poster :lol: . In espaņol, my teacher said that my draft wasn't really good because I made so many gramical errors. I think she though that I put it in a translator :? . I still got full credit on the assignment. Argh! This privacy software is driving me nuts (it thinks that credit is a bad word :roll: )! Ill half to end this post now I guess :( . Talk later.

As mentioned above (or below), I have been waiting all day for this broadway-of-a-production- script has finaly gotten here! I can finally calm down and go back to normal....
[LINE]It is a little later now (9:00PM) and I have completed corrections to the script. Chase is going to call me to sort out any last minute details. I hope we dont half to present tomarrow but you never know. * :o Yawn* It is late (ok not really but I am tierd). Maybe I can now go look at the documentation of my new 80 gig hard drive that I got for about $59...
[LINE]Ha Ha! 3 posts in 1! It is now about 9:50 and Im getting ready for bed. Chase got the script but I missed him online. I was watching super milionare. This one guy from DC did really good and got $500,000. G2G all. Talk Later.

| Working HW Sunday |

Well it's Sunday (who's celebrating?) and once again I'm trying to complete the rest of my homework that I failed to complete yesterday. In my news... the broadway of a production in English seems to be holding it's breath. A member in my group has not email the script for this. I am setting a time to which if it doesnt arrive by then, I will take command of the script's creation :twisted: (evil laughing music would be good here). In computer world... my espaņol project has taken a good turn towards goodness. I got some archtect software for the design of my school (if anyone ever wants to see it, leave a comment) so that helps things in motion. In the world of Algebra... I just finised the homework and got to finish the take-home quiz (graph). Going on to non-school news... to my suprise ( :shock: ) this blog will also be used for "The Other Side of the Story" in with relations to the REC (Rachel, Em, Caroline) and the AP (Andy, Peter (maybe just A)) will be shown. Thank you Em! Kev also created a blog ( :shock: ) that was complicated (making these blog things are a bit harder then u may think). For Kevin, that is a big thing (he's a little slow). Well... better get back to homework ( :( ). Talk later.

| Yawn...Saturday |

I just feel tired of starring at nothing on my computer screen so I am now making entry #2 in my blog. Celebrate. Later on, I will go bike riding with Chase and maybe Andy (he wants to go see Rachel again (like for the fourth time this week)). Chase says that Andy might bring Rachel and Emily but like that will work. He has tried to do something like this [go on a date with Rachel] but it never seems to work. Oh well... . This is probubly the part where I tell of something like daydreams or such but I dont got anything to share. I think everyone thinks Im weird but hey, it may change when they see what I can do. Going on... I need to leave soon to go and work on that stupid broadway production of a presentation due monday in English. Why cant we just sumerize the chapter insted of a skit? Welcome all ye people who give a care enough to look at this. The forums I have seem to be being ignored so this is my last stand sort of speaking.
[LINE]Anyway...welcome to the other side of the story that I may use to help clairify some of a friend of mine's blog posts that concern me or my friends (no offence to that person :D ).
